Trendscouting in London with L’Oréal Professionnel
Today I share with you one of our most recent and exciting projects during this year with L’Oréal Professionnel and Ultimativ Group (@ultimativgroup) in London! For all of you who followed our Insta stories, you probably already saw a few insights from our trip? You can also check out our teaser from the trend weekend here in which we were gettin’ ready with Série Expert Powermix & Majirel metals.
It was my fourth time visiting the city and I have to admit that it was definitely the best, as Jen and I could finally stay longer and enjoy the city. During our previous stays, we usually came for a short break. But what I have always remembered from my London visits was the people. They are all so lovely, kind and just helpful in general.
London treated us incredibly well this time. It is a city that I have locked in my heart. When I recall all the charming, elegant streets with their incredible, diverse locations and people, it makes me want to return there soon. In fact, it was the perfect place to scout the newest hair trends and discover the coolest hot spots.
Our first day started with the arrival at the beautiful Apex Temple Court which is a hidden jewel in the usual crowded city center. We had such a stylish suite! Still dreaming about this big, cozy bed! Not to mention the delicious breakfast!
Quick Styling Look
As our time schedule was tight, we headed to our first hot spot shortly after our arrival-the Afternoon Tea Bus Tour. On our way there, we both had a quick hairstyle made in one of the famous black cabs. That was quite a fun experience! Jen got a loose braid and I a high pony tail. The vintage London bus drove us around Central London, taking in some of the city’s best sights, whilst we could indulge in the fabulous B Afternoon Tea in the most fun way! This is something you should seriously consider to do when in London!
For these looks the twin brothers used the L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Extra Strong hairspray, which is for all hair types and dries very quickly.
Our day ended at the Millie’s Lounge (part of the Ned) with a wonderful dinner. For this occasion, we slightly changed our hair look to elegant up-do hair styles, wearing stunning dresses by Perseverance, perfectly matching with the overall atmosphere. Loved the vintage interior and the life performance of the band.
The key products for these looks were the L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Extra Strong hairspray, L’Oréal Professionnel Wild Stylers Beach Waves styling spray and L’Oréal Professionnel Volume Inflator (Serie Expert), a finishing powder-in-spray for flat and fine hair that gives the hair more volume.
London Streetstyle look
Our second day started with a visit to the Selfridges & Co. , a great shopping spot to find the hottest trends in London. For this occasion, Jen got a tight hair bun and I received a half-up hair look with natural-looking waves. I personally think that these two hairstyles are the most hyped ones among bloggers and definitely my personal day look favorites!
For Jens look, Patrick used the L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Extra Strong hairspray, which gave her a strong hold with a shiny finish.
For my look, Andreas used the L’Oréal Professionnel Wild Stylers Beach Waves styling spray, a salt water spray that gave my hair an added texturised effect.
5 o’clock look
After a quick lunch, we made a stop at the L’Oréal Academy in Hammersmith in order to receive our “5 o’clock look” for the next hotspot, the Sketch which is one of the most stylish places I have seen so far. As we enjoyed an afternoon tea, Jen got an elegant hair-do while my hair appeared only slightly changed.
For Jens look Patrick first applied the L’Oréal Professional Tecni. ART Styling Gel Glue that keeps a long lasting hold. Additionally, he used the L’Oréal Professional Tecni.ART Fix Anti-Frizz, a strong hold styling spray that controls the look of frizz for up to 24 hours. This style will perfectly hold whilst remaining sleek looking.
For Des’ look Andreas used the L’Oréal Professionnel Infinium Extra Strong hairspray, which has a high fixation and fixes a style in place.
Thrilling Night look
Our evening program was definitely one to remember!
Perfectly suiting the theme, we both got wet hair as a night time look for our next stop: the Thriller Musical which was far beyond exciting with so many talented performers and great atmosphere! The evening ended with a wonderful dinner at the Ivy Soho Brasserie. The stake is to die for!
For these looks Patrick and Andreas applied the L’Oréal Professionnel Wet Domination Extreme Splash, for all hair types for an elastic hold.
Finally, we ended up at the Cirque le Soir, a plush, circus-themed night club with burlesque dancers, fire eaters and many other interesting performers. Rather than go to a usual club, this club gives a completely different experience.
The last day, before we were bound to leave for Vienna, we decided to have brunch at the Sky Garden, a unique public space that spans three storeys and offers a 360 degree view across London. The view is just breathtaking! And the food is so tasty with a huge choice! A place you cannot miss when in London! For this occasion, we both got a put-up hairdo/hairstyle, very chic and matching of the whole setting.
The hair stylists used two main products: L’Oréal Professionnel Volume Inflator (Serie Expert) that helps thin hair look lifted from roots to tips & L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.ART Fix Anti-Frizz, an anti-humidity and anti-frizz protection spray for extreme climatic conditions as it was very windy & rainy.
London is such a wonderful place and I truly, deeply hope to be able to come back soon and spend some private time there exploring more of its hidden corners. There seem to be still so many interesting locations. I hope you guys like our London hot spots and will try out our hair looks.
Special thanks to L’Oréal Professionnel & Ultimativ Group for this unforgettable trip! This weekend was definitely one to remember!
Lots of love
