After all this waiting, we can finally reveal the images of our collaboration with H & M x Balmain we have been working on over the last week. So far, this project with H & M has been the most special one to me, as I love the different styles and the story behind it. Apart from that, Balmain has always been a very special brand to me. So much so that even our illustration (Des & Jen logo) was inspired by this brand.
Shooting with our team was again real fun, especially as we wanted to create something new and to get out of our comfort zone.I love the fact that Jen and I can be creative and express our ideas each time all over again. For all the looks we chose three different venues, each including a different style. So let’s start talking about the H & M x Balmain item.
After I have heard that Balmain is going to be the guest designer at H & M, I was firmly convinced that this collaboration will top everything and create a truly involving experience to everybody! I mean… H&M allows the unique possibility of involving everyone into the house of Balmain! How great is that?
With this collaboration, Olivier Rousteing has created a mix of couture spirit and streetwear attitude with a unique style while paying careful attention to details. The great thing though is, that the sensual and opulent looks remain true to the brand’s DNA. To me, Balmain is all about sheer power, thrill, fun and amusement, as well as unique craftsmanship including modern silhouettes which are clearly reflected in this collection. After all, his aim is to talk to his generation!
So get ready for #HMBalmaiNation – a movement of togetherness fuelled on a hashtag – because the waiting finally came to an end since it will reach the stores on November 5. Hope you guys like the images!
They genuinely mean a lot to us so we are really, really, curious to read what your favorite pieces are from this collection!
