Places to visit in Milan

by Des

Hey guys!
If you are stopping by at Italy’s capital of chic, then you should definitely try and check out following places for food and drinks. Jen and I love dropping by there.

Obica
Obica is a kind of place we would visit anywhere in the world.
It is the kind of a must-go-to place when coming to Milan.
Its concept is based on Mozzarella di Bufala Campana, mixing traditional Italian recipes with high-quality Italian handmade products in a genuine style.
Above all, Obica at Rinascente‘s roof top is defenitely worth visiting, just because of the incredible view to Duomo.

When I first entered Ceresio7, the first thing that crossed  my mind was the Soho House in New York City.
These two places defenitely have something in common. Ceresio 7 is located on the roof-top of the historical Enel Building which offers an extraordinary view to the new skyliner of Milan.
It is a restaurant, bar and a nightclub but also offers an amazing pool lounge.
Its contemproary-retro interior-design with its refined details (done by DIMORESTUDIO) and the relaxing yet sophisticated atmosphere gives the place a homely feeling. An unique combination of Italian and fusion kitchen will make your palate rejoice.
What I really liked on the menu was that it also offers gluten-free products.
An aperitivo on this pool terrace during summer nights is simply a must.

10 Corso Como
10 Corso Como is one of the most legendary European concept stores and another must-see place when in Milan.
It is comprised out of a concept store, restaurant, bar, art gallery and a small hotel.
At a first glance you might find it difficult to locate since it is hidden in a quiet courtyard behind a beautiful garden. The garden reminds me of the inner courts of riads I saw when I visited Morocco. Riad is a traditional Moroccan house or palace with an interior garden or courtyard.
Since the store is well-frequented it can sometimes get rather overcrowded inside, however for those who seek a chilled and relaxing atmosphere the garden’s cafe is the right place, especially during summer nights.
For all of you who seek inspiration and the latest trends, this place is worthwhile seeing.

Armani/Bamboo Bar

When I entered the bar on the top floor of the Armani Hotel, I imediately noticed the cool interior. As some of you know, Giorgio Armani is known for its minimalistic design. Hence, his deluxe-minimalistic touch was not missing here either. I personally liked the variety of drinks they offer and most defenitely the view.

Convivium

Convivium is another great restaurant that offers traditional Italian food. This restaurant is close to Duomo and has a very warm atmosphere, due to its interior and decor. Jen and I always like to stop by when visiting Milan. We especially like the warmhearted and welcoming staff.
