Writing has always been something of great importance to me as it feels somewhat like a therapy. It is because I just can be myself and pour out emotions I have gathered during the day using that creative impulse to create my own personal story.
I remember those days when I started writing in my early teenager years. Especially during nights, I was able to express my thoughts in the best way. And I still do it most of the time. Even now when I write, it simply helps me escape this busy and hectic life we all face sometimes. The beautiful thing is, when I re-read old lines now from this perspective I realize how much I had grown as a person and enjoy memories that arise in the process. I believe one of the most powerful ways to get to know yourself better is through keeping journals. This allows you to become more conscious of your thoughts, feelings, actions, beliefs etc. It can be extremely helpful in the process of understanding your current state of mind.
I have been going through some of my notes trying to see what has inspired me earlier and where did my thrill use to come from. One name and its influence kept reappearing. And, I am not the only one who has been so strongly influenced.
I guess you have all witnessed the huge hype about the H & M x Balmain launch the week before last. People went literally nuts that day! And actually it exceeded people’s expectations, and was by far the most successful designer collaboration with H & M!
As mentioned previously, we chose three different venues for this project in order to create a whole story, each venue involving a unique look and setting. I went for a more boyish, laid-back yet chic look, presenting it in two similar ways. My absolute favorite piece from this shoot is the Men’s blazer with the golden embellishment which I combined with ripped boyfriend jeans that I recently bought!
I am curious to read your thoughts!
