Hi from Milan! 🙂 It’s always an immense pleasure to be here: to see all of our friends, to savore Italian food and visit some cool places! The city has changed in so many ways since the last time I had been here and it deeply impresses me. Yesterday we had a walk through the “Porta Nuova”, an area comprised of skyscrapers, offices, residences, parks and stores. It’s a new business district that has been undergoing a renewal for many years due to the Expo which will be hosted by Milan from May until October this year. It’s so modern and futuristic, completely the opposite in terms of architecture when compared to the other buildings in town. You should definitely put this area on your ‘to do’ list when visiting Milan.
Des and I are here for the Fashion Week and it has been crazy so far! The city is fulled with fashionistas 🙂 What I like about Milan, or in general about Italy, is the big fashion culture. Italian Fashion is really special, in my opinion it stands for exquisite elegance, excellent hand-crafted fabrics and incomparable creativity with its neverending colours and prints!
As a part of this inspirational week, we attended the Roberto Cavalli Show on Saturday and bumped into Roberto Cavalli himself, then Anna Dello Russo, Chiara Ferragni and many others. It was simply surreal to meet all of them on one occasion! They are some of the top names in the fashion industry.
Finally, while preparing this post and the photos the last thing we expected to happen was the snow! It gives the photos an unique and genuine touch, nature’s gem ornamenting them..
