Finally after all the hours of waiting, I am very thrilled to talk about the most recent project we had in Paris during fashion week. This year, we had had the opportunity to stay, quite often and longer than usual, in this beautiful city. And I still feel like I just can´t get enough of this magical place!
Our trip was far beyond from what we had expected. To me, it has proved that the most beautiful and exciting things are indeed those you expect the least. Being invited to great events, and thus having the chance to meet incredible and influential people from the fashion world, was only one of many beautiful moments we have experienced.
After all the fashion week madness ended, we managed to find a little moment of breath and get pampered at Carita beauty salon in Faubourg Rue Honoré. We were preparing for this very special project with L´Oréal Professionnel, having again on board with us the twin brothers (Yes!) Patrick and Andreas Raitz from Ultimativ Group. During this weekend, we were scouting the current hair trends, as well as discovering our personal hot spots in Paris, which I am sure you will like!
And there´s more to come. We were staying at the beautiful Edouard 7 Hotel at Avenue de l´Opera and had the most gorgeous suite ever!
So, I am going to share with you now our story:
The first day, we started our lunch at Big Fernand, a place that is famous for its burgers! I promise you guys, you won´t be disappointed! These burgers are just perfect! After that, we had the chance to visit the L´Oréal Academy in Rue Royal, where we got our first hair look. Fitting to the mood, I got a wet hair look (definitely one of my favorite hair styles!), which is quite easy to do and looks just great on everything you wear. I recommend using a hair spray instead of a gel in order to not make the hair look sticky. Meanwhile, Jen went for a high ponytail. For dinner, we went to Miss Kō, a great Japanese restaurant with cool interior furnishing (designed by Philippe Starck) and excellent atmosphere (loved the R´n´B tunes!). The evening ended with a great surprise at Crazy Horse, a very classy burlesque-type show. Definitely need to pay a visit!
For the second day, we got boxer braids done. This trend is absolutely coming back; I have, in fact, seen it quite often lately! During the afternoon, we enjoyed a walk in Marais, one of the nicest and most diverse districts in Paris. Check out Marché Enfants Roughes, the oldest food market in Paris and the Merci Concept Store.
The last day, before we were bound to leave for Vienna, we decided to have brunch at Ralph´s, which belongs to Ralph Lauren. I immediately fell in love with the whole concept of this restaurant, the staff is super professional, wearing the brands´clothes and the food is just to die for! If you happen to be in Paris during warmer days, you definitely need to see its garden. Just splendid! For this occasion, we left our hair open and curly, very chic and matching to the whole setting.
Finally, I can say that there is nothing more beautiful than to work with people that are, same as we, passionate about what they do, and at the same time share with you the same humour and enjoy every single second of life. This weekend was definitely about making memories!
I hope you guys like our hair looks and will try them out as well as check out our personal favorite places in Paris!
Lots of love,
