Paris Fashion Week F/W 18 Recap

Hi loves,

Jen and I just returned from Tel Aviv, which was a really inspiring trip! Before our stay in Israel, we went to Paris for the Fashion week. Even though the weather didn’t play along, we made unforgettable memories. We have been on the go for a couple of weeks now, and I must admit that it had been quite intense. You should have seen us:-we have been literally crawling to bed every single night, we couldn’t even think one second about turning the computer on; we arrived at the shows like zombies, rushing from one to another event, taking pictures, etc. Paris is, however, always the most exciting place when it comes to fashion weeks.

H & M Studio SS 2018 Collection

We have had the chance to come to the city, thanks to the lovely team from H & M, whom we are grateful to for always being supportive and for organizing our trip. We stayed at the Hôtel National Des Arts et Métiers for one night and had the pleasure to be part of the Studio SS18 Collection, in the course of a fashion show which took place in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs– a beautiful and iconic venue. The key inspiration behind the collection revolves around Japan’s minimalistic design and quiet grace. I don’t remember when we saw a fashion show of this calibre. It was definitely one of a kind!

Get Ready with Mac Cosmetics- #FixPlus Event

Another highlight was the Mac Fix Plus Event, where three new scents to the MAC’s Prep and Prime Fix + Sprays were introduced:- Coconut, Lavender, and Rose. We always use them when we apply our make-up, loving how its vitamins and minerals hydrate our skin and give it a refreshing look. This time Mac Cosmetics came up with something very special, starting from Louise Chen-the Djane that ensured some good R’n’B tunes, the make-up sector-where we got a beautiful make over by one of the talented artists, the video section and so on. It was really fun!

Mac Cosmetics Backstage – Altuzarra & Sacai

Besides the event, we also went backstage with Mac Cosmetics to the Altuzzara and Sacai fashion show, which we both saw for the very first time. Altuzzara has always been one of our favorite brands. We really enjoyed seeing the new collection which had pin-striped tailoring, double-layered cropped jackets accented with a row of horizontal buttons, wide shoulders and waisted silhouettes. While the dresses were soft, unstructured, and had a bohemian touch.

At Sacai, we loved the natural hair and make-up matching cmbined with the strong, graphic collection. The general effect was half-and-half, making outfits out of many garments.

Talbot Runhof x La Biostèthique – Faith, Love & Hope

This season German high-end fashion brand Talbot Runhof again partnered up with La Biosthetique whos creative team was in charge of the models‘ hair styles. Alexander Dinter, International Creative Director of La Biosthetique, developed all the hair looks. He was inspired by the modern braid style.

We are big fans of the hair care brand, because it offers a wide range of exclusive and quality products tailored for individual needs. The hair stylists were using three main products:

1) Fixateur Mousse

2) Beach Effect Styling Spray

3) Formule Laque Fine

Before the official start of the fashion show, we went backstage to get our hair professionally done. We both went for a wavy hair look.

The latest fall/winter 2018/19 collection #FAITHLOVEHOPE by Talbot Runhof was inspired by traditional German craftmanship/costumes with main colors in purple, green and malard blue.
