Milanese Streets

by Jen

Back to the roots. We arrived to Vienna yesterday, after long and intense few days of Milan fashion week, meetings and shootings. After Milan we first went to Zagreb for a couple of days. It’s always nice to escape a little bit from Vienna, to zone out from the city and find yourself in a different environment.

Since we had lived in Milan for several years it has become sort of a second home for us. Even now, being there again, re-visiting, we have enjoyed strolling through the tiny little streets in Brera neighborhood – our favorite district in Milan, the outgoing Milanese people, the Aperitivo culture and the highly appreciated fashion, design and art culture. We could go on and on…! We remember how, when we arrived to Italy for the first time in 2009, we felt like a fish out of water. The difference between Vienna and Milan was huugeeee! After a while we had adapted to the “Dolce Vita” way of life and everything became much easier. What we have really learned is: Once you have lived abroad and stepped out of your comfort zone, you can manage to live anywhere in the world. 🙂

The following photos were shot in Milan, after attending the Roberto Cavalli Autumn/Winter Fashion Show. Des recently got these gorgeous skinny-flared jeans by Victoria Beckham and combined them with a striped blouse by Zara. I went for a look fully in black, combining a lace top and a transparent maxi-skirt; both by H&M.

Des: Jeans – Victoria Beckham, Blouse – Zara, Jacket – Zara, Shoes – Rupert Sanderson, Bag – Saint Laurent, Bracelet – Colana

Jen: Top – H&M, Maxi skirt – H&M, Jacket – Isabel Marant X H&M, Shoes – Christian Louboutin, Bag – Dior
