Last time when we were in Paris during the fashion week, we stayed at a very charming and cosy place called “1er Etage SoPi“.
1er Etage SoPi is a mix between a small boutique hotel and a deluxe guesthouse. Inspired by the 50’s it offers a home away from home feeling, with a high level of comfort. While staying there it felt more like I was living in a Parisian apartment located in a beautifully decorated building. It made our stay very, very pleasant!
First of all this place is very peaceful (which is very important to us, and can be challenging to find in Paris), modern and offers the most delicious breakfast that is served in the living room of the guesthouse. The breakfast menu offers freshly cut fruits, warm baguettes, croissants etc. (far more better quality than in other hotels we had stayed before). There is always free access to the kitchen from where you can take water and other juices (free of charge) to your room.
The living room is also a great place to work on your laptop. In the morning, while I was drinking my orange juice, I was checking my mails. The whole atmosphere was very calm and relaxing. I would have stayed there forever if there had been no fashion week haha. Our bathroom had a double sink, which is very convenient as Des and I get prepared almost at the same time in the morning! Serge and Juliette, the welcoming hosts of the 1er Etage hotel collection (SoPi, Marais & Opera) were eager to help us with any info regarding our stay. Additionally they provided us a little bag, which included a booklet full of important addresses in Paris. To my opinion, it’s a perfect place for someone who seeks privacy as there are just few rooms.
Quick note on the site: the reception desk is opened in the morning from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. Still, there is always the possibility to contact the hosts via phone or e-mail 24/7. Every room has an access code (no key needed).
Reserve your room at 1er Etage until End of May and get a 10% discount (flexible reservation)!
