Graffiti

Des was the one who came up with the idea of a photoshooting with walls covered in Graffiti as our background. Interestingly enough, as we were brainstorming about Graffiti in Vienna, we both came up with one particular place that we knew, characteristic for its spray-art…It was, no other but the Danube Canal (Donaukanal). You can see joggers, cyclists and skaters along this canal on a daily basis – even during winter time.

While walking  along the riverbanks we observed the street art and thought it was really impressive. There are numerous written words, wall paintings, thoughts and feelings spread and uncovered on those walls that are several hundred meters long.

The Danube River, of which the most attractive part has to be the one that divides the first from the second district, is the place where Viennese love spending their free time. It is crowded with people, especially during the hot summer breeze. There is even more sport enthusiastics there during the summer. Nevertheless, summer is also the main season for most of the bars, cafes and restaurants where people like to come together. By being there, during a warm July or August evening, you cannot escape but feel like you are away from Vienna, like you are on a holiday somewhere far, far away.

For our photoshooting we dressed up very casually!

Des: Sweater – Bimba & Lola, Legging – Calzedonia, Ankle Boots – Massimo Dutti
