Blurred lines

Hi from Milan,

The last days, weeks and even months have been all about preparations for the fashion weeks. I have always been quite excited before fashion week madness started. And for some reason, Milan and Paris were my favorite ones. Jen and I have had the pleasure to attend both fashion weeks for several seasons now and it has always been a big treat.

It is indeed a very special and inspiring month and at the same time quite intense (I´m not gonna lie!), so the right amount of preparation is key. Especially, when it comes to choosing the right outfits. Sometimes, it can be challenging for us finding matching looks for both. We are quite tall (which most of you guys know) and when it comes to pants/jackets etc., most of them are just too short for us. It always seems so easy when seeing the results on our pictures, but believe me, behind every picture a lot of time and effort is put. What I can tell you so far is, that we will be wearing some really cool outfits.

In fact, fashion month is always the perfect time to play around, getting out of our comfort zone and be creative when it comes to outfit choices. I can´t wait to show you all our experiences on our Instagram profile: @desnjen. There will be as well a recap on our blog.

Today, I would like to share with you an exclusive photo shoot I had the chance to work on with Patrick Domingo in Vienna. For this shooting, we wanted to create something different. Pat used a blurred effect in order to gain these results. I wore a red monochrome look by Max Mara. I really love the brand and have been following them for many years. We have already had the chance to see two shows in Milan. It has always been one of my favorite brands, especially because of the iconic coats (its undeniably statement pieces!) and the feminine/classic shapes in their collections.

You don´t see me often wearing red, but to be honest, I was really into adding a bit of color to the current weather situation. I was actually hoping to see a little bit more sun even here in Milan. But let´s see what the next days will bring. In fact, I am already counting the days until summer. What about you? 🙂

Hope you will enjoy the pictures! I am curious to read your opinions about my look.

Wishing you a wonderful and successful start into the week.

Lots of love,

Des
