Our trip to the Amalfi Coast at the beginning of July had been on our travel bucket list for quite some time.
From all the places we have visited along the coastline, Positano is probably the best-known destination in this area and one of my favorite ones.As we were driving on the bus from Amalfi, where we were based, to Positano along the curvy and thrilling road (not the most comfortable way to travel haha) we were surrounded by the most beautiful view of the sea.
Positano feels like a fairy tale town, almost surreal with its colorful houses, which look as if they were part of the landscape. There are many beautiful hidden corners to discover. Basically you don’t need any gym there, as you will be climbing up and down the never-ending stairs in order to reach anything. Sounds like a lot of fun, doesn’t it!
The best way to reach the Amalfi coast is by taking a plane (from Vienna) to Neaples, as it is the closest airport in this area and then taking the train to Sorrento and switching onto a bus or a boat to your chosen destination. Or simply rent a car or even a driver from the airport.
Positano was one of our last stops on our exciting adventure through Amalfi Coast and Capri. However, we were never really alone as our travels were supported by ENIT-Italia #entdeckeitalien #azzurro and Austrian Airlines #myAustrianholidays.
I hope you will enjoy our photos. They were taken in Positano, Erchie and Cetara.
